Mechanical and Measurement & Control Engineering
Idaho LAUNCH
Idaho LAUNCH grants provide graduating high school seniors with an opportunity to have up to 80% of their tuition and fees covered, up to $8,000, for programs leading to in-demand careers, including Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, students who receive Idaho LAUNCH grants have the option to combine them with other scholarships offered by Idaho State University.
Welcome to Idaho State Mechanical and Measurement & Control Engineering
The faculty and staff in Idaho State University’s Department of Mechanical and Measurement & Control Engineering work hard to provide students with a well-rounded engineering education. Our ABET-accredited undergraduate and graduate programs provide the opportunities, resources, and real-world experiences needed to prepare students for exciting careers in a variety of industries including aerospace, energy systems, defense, design, research and development, and more. Our students have easy access to professors for help and mentoring, and within the department, there is a strong sense of community and inclusion.
Located in Pocatello and surrounded by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, students have ample opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, and more. Additionally, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are just a short drive away.
